Laser Hair Removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the U.S. Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, and other areas. A concentrated beam of light is aimed at hair. The light is set to a frequency that allows it to target the pigment in the hair follicle without damaging the skin. The pigment then absorbs the light, which damages the hair follicle enough to prevent any future hair growth.
How many treatments will I need?
Because all hair grows in cycles, it means that any single treatment will never be able to reach all of the unwanted hair. This is why laser hair removal is offered in packages of six to nine treatments. Multiple treatments ensure all of the unwanted hair is targeted with the laser. Preparing for Smooth Skin
Before undergoing laser hair removal, you must limit plucking, waxing, and electrolysis for six weeks before treatment. The reason is the laser targets the roots of the hair, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking. You should also avoid sun exposure for six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and could create complications after treatment. You should shave the area to be treated before you come in for your laser treatment. This will ensure the hair length is correct so the laser treatment works properly.
The Procedure

Many patients who have experienced laser hair removal equate the pain level to that of a rubber band popping against your skin. Keep in mind that not every machine operates the same. We use the latest technology available to ensure effective and pain-free results. Keep in mind, some spots on your body are more sensitive than others. The bikini line and underarms have skin that is typically more sensitive than areas such as arms and legs. Our laser features an automated cooling device, which cools the skin before the laser activates. This feature removes virtually all pain.

Failure to give us 24 hours notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit and/ or a late cancellation charge. After 2 late cancellations or no-shows, we require you to pre-pay for any future services. Any pre-purchased packages with cancellations or no-shows will have a late cancellation fee deducted from the package for the value of the appointment.
